When I first decided to embark the idea of this website, I saw it as a vehicle for several goals.
I wanted to help educate some of the younger paranormal research groups, maybe even change the approach of some of the more established groups, and expose the frauds and vultures feeding off of the scared and bereaved.
I first thought that I should interview some of the other established groups around. I expected there to be somewhat of a gap in how this field is perceived by those occupying it. Now I am beginning to question that assertion. It seems that the leaders of these groups are all pushing for the same changes and structure.
I know that there are many motivations for wanting to get into this field and many of those motivations lie out of view…desire for attention, the need to feel connected to loved ones lost, and various personality disorders that hide just below the surface to name a few.
Belief is one of the strongest abilities that we, as a species, possess. It holds the fabric of our individual reality together. It should be no surprise to realize that when a paranormal investigator believes that they are doing the right thing, it can be a very difficult perspective to change…especially if a latent motivation is hiding… But, change is the only way we can grow this field and it has been stagnant for too long.
We have long practiced the definition of insanity in our investigations. We have used the same tools, the same procedures, and the same theories on what a ghost is for at least 50 years and have patiently awaited a different result. We are clearly a deranged lot.
So, here we go, the first post. There are bound to be typos, grammar issues, and messy design. These things will improve as the months go by as will writing style, cohesiveness, and over all look. I invite you to write in with your theories, opinions, and experiences. Let’s do this together. i hope that you will join me on this journey of discovery and adventure as I attempt to make this field much more understood and accepted than the novelty it has always been.
